Theo Milonopoulos is an Assistant Professor of National Security Affairs at the U.S. Naval War College, where he researches foreign policy decision-making, deterrence strategies, civil-military relations, and the national security implications of emerging technologies. His work has appeared in print and online in Foreign Affairs, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Texas National Security Review, and War on the Rocks, among other venues. He has held research positions at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House, the Clements Center for National Security at the University of Texas at Austin, the RAND Corporation, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and the Hoover Institution, where he was a lead research assistant to former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as she wrote her memoirs. A graduate of Stanford University, he earned his Ph.D. at Columbia University and M.A. at King’s College London, where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar.
